Terms of Service

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of VolleyRecruit ("we", "us", or "our"), a college volleyball recruiting platform operated by College Volleyball AI. By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use the service.

2. Service Description

VolleyRecruit provides tools to help student-athletes manage their college volleyball recruiting process, including coach database access, email composition, pipeline tracking, reminders, and an AI-powered coach assistant. We do not guarantee that use of our service will result in recruitment offers or coach interest.

3. Account & Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account and keep it updated. You must be at least 13 years old to use this service. If you are under 18, you should use the service under the supervision of a parent or guardian.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the service. Prohibited activities include:

• Using the service for any unlawful purpose
• Spamming coaches with unsolicited or deceptive messages
• Attempting to access data you are not authorized to view
• Interfering with or disrupting the service or its infrastructure
• Reverse engineering, scraping, or circumventing technical limits
• Infringing intellectual property rights of others
• Using the AI Coach to generate illegal, hateful, harmful, or deceptive content

5. Intellectual Property

All content, software, designs, and branding on VolleyRecruit are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the service within your selected plan. You may not resell, redistribute, or reverse engineer any part of the service.

6. Payment & Subscriptions

VolleyRecruit operates on a subscription model. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation, and refund mechanics are handled by our online reseller, Paddle. By subscribing, you agree to Paddle's Buyer Terms (https://www.paddle.com/legal/checkout-buyer-terms). Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date.

7. Merchant of Record

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

8. AI Service Terms

VolleyRecruit includes AI-powered features (the "AI Coach"). By using these features, you acknowledge:

• You are responsible for the prompts you submit and how you use AI-generated outputs
• AI outputs may be inaccurate or incomplete and should be reviewed before sending to coaches
• You must have rights to any content you input into the AI
• You may not use the AI to generate illegal content, deepfakes, hate speech, malware, or attempt to jailbreak the system
• We reserve the right to moderate AI outputs and suspend access for misuse

9. Termination & Suspension

We may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. Upon termination, your access to the service will cease. We may retain your data for a limited period as required by law or for legitimate business purposes.

10. Disclaimers

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. Use of the service is at your own risk.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability shall be limited to the fees you paid in the six months preceding the claim. We exclude liability for indirect, consequential, or special damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill, except where prohibited by law.

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which College Volleyball AI is registered, without regard to conflict of law principles.

13. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
